Aberdeen-based Aiken Group has appointed a new director as the company continues to target growth via diversification.
After a decade of employment with the company, Louise Urquhart has been named Director of Supply Chain, a newly-created role which will play a strategic part in enhancing efficiency and growing the Aiken Group portfolio of products and services.
With a background in retail management and advertising, Louise initially joined the company as a CAD draughtsperson and was central to the creation of Aiken Group’s modular division, Modulink. During her ten years of service, she has also gathered broad, in-depth experience in many other areas of the business including purchasing, expediting and logistics.
Commenting on her new role, Louise Urquhart said: “Everything we do is geared towards benefiting our end user and customer, and I look forward to the challenges and opportunities this position will bring as we develop our ever-expanding range of products and services.”

Aiken Group is a leading and innovative supplier of integrated, out-sourced and solutions-based engineering and specialist services principally accommodation; engineering, construction and modification and technology and project management. The company is well known for its offshore expertise in accommodation provision and has recently made significant inroads into key onshore sectors, including the award of contracts totalling in the region of £1 million.
