Claire Crawford from Savills is co-author of the Aberdeen City Living Strategy: Claire will take us through the stategy paper and update on its progress over the last few months. Presented to Aberdeen City Council on 19th June 2018, the strategy was commissioned under the City Centre Masterplan (CCMP), which has a goal of boosting the number of residents owning or renting a property in the heart of Aberdeen by at least 3,000 over the next 25 years. The strategy considers the barriers to city living identified by Savills and recommendations for achieving the target of new homes.

Lynn Mutch from Invest Aberdeen will enlighten us on the fantastic work of the new one-stop-shop inward investment hub for the Aberdeen City Region, offering a concierge service for businesses, property investors and developers exploring a move into the region or local companies seeking to expand and diversify. The hub is a joint partnership between Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Council and works closely with a wide range of partners across the city region offering (as a taster): business development and support, support identifying funding and property incentives, advice on recruiting the best skills and talent, fast track access to Invest Aberdeen’s partners and stakeholders, investment advice, dedicated aftercare (and much more). Invest Aberdeen are a small team, rooted in the City Region, passionate about ensuring there are joined up solutions for local stakeholders and dedicated to helping regional businesses thrive.
