An Aberdeen City Council spokesperson said “Funding can be one of the greatest challenges facing a business and we are pleased to be playing a part in supporting small businesses, helping them add to the city region’s economy.

“The key objective is to support the growth of existing SMEs in regional, national and international markets. This will help create and safeguard jobs.

“We are committed to investing in a bright and prosperous future for the people of Aberdeen and the businesses in our city. With transformation already well underway it is vital that the council support new and existing business ventures within the city.”

Applications can be made online. For those meeting the terms and conditions an interview and appraisal process to determine viability will follow.
