Aberdeen-based Centurion Group, a supplier of critical rental, infrastructure and support services to the energy industry, has expanded its Drilling, Completions and Production segment with the acquisition of Totalfrac, a valve technology company based in Texas, USA.

Totalfrac provides a wide range of low maintenance, high quality, durable frac stack valves used during various well fracking and production operations. The acquisition of these proprietary products into Centurion’s DCP segment will allow the business to offer an integrated package including several of the surface rental equipment needed on a frac in major shale basins in the US. This enhances Centurion’s capabilities as an industry leader in the provision of flowback and well testing services.

To further support this acquisition, Centurion has invested in a fleet of wellhead isolation tools. The equipment will be used alongside and enhanced by Totalfrac’s high tech valve technology.

Fernando Assing, CEO of Centurion, commented:

“I am delighted to welcome Totalfrac to Centurion and look forward to working with them. Drilling, Completions and Production services are of critical importance to us, and for our customers, and we are pleased to be able to expand, and enhance, our flowback and well testing product lines.”

Derek Elzner, President of Centurion US Land, said:

“We are excited to announce the addition of Totalfrac to Centurion. The addition of their high-quality valves, designed to be low maintenance, will provide higher uptime for clients. This is yet another example of Centurion’s strategy to diversify product and service offerings, while providing our customers the highest quality products”.
