Jack Wills opens new Bon Accord store

Top British fashion retailer, Jack Wills, has opened a new store in Bon Accord shopping centre, Aberdeen, having agreed a new 10-year lease in the centre. Capreon, the Noé Group real estate business and asset manager for the centre, is pleased to welcome Jack Wills, whose relocation is the fourth new letting at Bon Accord since the start of 2019.

Jack Wills have taken occupancy of a 4,400 sq ft store in the heart of Bon Accord which opened on Saturday 1st June, having relocated from the neighbouring Academy Centre. With the addition of one of the UK’s most iconic young retail brands, Jack Wills joins Bon Accord’s existing range of top fashion retailers, which includes Next, Topshop, River Island, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Jigsaw, Hobbs and Karen Millen.

Craig Stevenson, Centre Manager at Bon Accord Shopping Centre, said, “We are pleased to be celebrating the opening of another new store at Bon Accord.”

Craig Stevenson continued, “Adding a top retailer like Jack Wills ensures that Bon Accord broadens its already diverse mix of quality shopping and further strengthens the centre’s reputation as a destination for fashion retail in Aberdeen.”

The move continues the trend of major retailers already trading in the city choosing to relocate to Bon Accord. The centre has attracted four new lettings since the start of the year, with Jack Wills relocating from other premises in the city centre, along with top German shoe retailer Deichmann and Subway who are opening an additional Aberdeen unit in the centre.

Together with these store openings, the centre will be welcoming Elegance Hair & Beauty, who have opted for Bon Accord over other city centre locations for their new premises of their first Aberdeen store. 

These decisions by retailers reflect the strong customer footfall at the centre: Bon Accord consistently outperforms both national averages for customer footfall and the average footfall within Aberdeen itself.

All four new arrivals to Bon Accord have taken 10-year leases, indicating real confidence in the long-term success of the thriving centre.
