IT firm marks new era with contract wins

Local IT firm, IT Hotdesk is entering its tenth year in business and preparing to mark the anniversary by announcing contract wins and creating new jobs in the North East.  

Founded in 2009 by IT professional Gordon Christie, the firm is based in Westhill.  The business has matured and expanded from a one-man band with one client to a team of twelve experienced specialists who are dedicated to supporting a range of customers delivering proactive and dynamic IT solutions to more than 100 clients throughout Scotland.  

Current customers include a diverse range of sectors ranging from Oil & Gas, recruitment, accountancy, legal, agricultural and vessel management.  In the last year, IT Hotdesk has secured additional business worth in excess of £450,000 in the subsea sector in Aberdeen as well as widening its geographical reach in the financial and manufacturing markets in Edinburgh.  

Commenting on the news, Gordon Christie said: “Ten years is a significant milestone for any business, and we have entered this year with a strong focus on development plans to improve not only our own business but that of our clients too.  We want to continue to build a company that we are proud of and I’m delighted to be expanding our team and supporting new clients as we enter the next decade in business.  

IT Hotdesk recently started working with Almis International, an Asset Liability Software Management company, Almis, based in Edinburgh help banks & building societies control financial risk. Joe DiRollo, CEO of Almis International commented: “The transition to a new IT support provider is a daunting task, however, we found that IT Hotdesk did exactly as they promised and the whole switch over was efficient and professionally managed.  Our relationship has settled down quickly and we’re now benefitting from IT Hotdesk’s proactive rectification of any issues which arise.”
