ABERDEEN Restaurant Week has come to a close proving a big hit for the fifth year running.

Organisers, Aberdeen Inspired, hailed the event a success with both diners and businesses after 49 restaurants, a record number, took part.

Kate Timperley, Aberdeen Inspired senior project manager, said: “Our fifth edition of Aberdeen Restaurant Week has proved immensely popular and we’re delighted with the response we’ve had from restaurants and diners alike.

“The great thing about an initiative like this is that we want both the public and businesses involved to benefit. We encourage everyone to go out and explore Aberdeen City Centre, try new things and find new favourites that are right on their doorstep. In turn, our local businesses are given the opportunity to wow people who may not have tried them before.”
