Jim Reid is the founder and Director at Jim Reid vehicle sales and he will be sharing his entrepreneurial journey at a local start-up event to inspire the next generation of North-East entrepreneurs.
Leaving school at 16 years old Jim entered the Motor trade as an YTS Automotive Parts Trainee taking home £27.50 per week and now 31 years later owns and runs his own National Award winning Used Car Sales & Service Business based in Kintore with a turnover of almost £7M per annum.

During this interview Jim will describe the highs and lows of starting, growing and running his business and will give you an insight into why leadership, training and hiring the right people are often overlooked and explain why mastering cash flow is more important that just looking at profit.
He will also demonstrate the importance of having your ‘home team’ fully onside and why this along with delivering fantastic customer care, setting goals and developing a positive attitude are the keys to achieving a life-work balance & successful business.
