Speakers at the conference, being held at Inverurie Town Hall on March 7, include Jane Morrison, the executive officer at the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and Cait-Murray-Green, the chief executive of CuanTec, which uses fish processing waste to create an alternative to plastic.

Lynne Copland, event co-organiser, said the topics cover issues which are important for Aberdeenshire.

She added: “It has been designed to promote confidence and raise awareness of behavioural and social changes that can be adopted.

“The group is passionate about maintaining our environment and ensuring it can be enjoyed by future generations.”
