A leading North-east apprenticeship-training firm has made a key appointment to teach the welding talent of tomorrow.

ITCA Training, which works with a range of employers across the North-east to provide training for employees, has appointed Maciek Kokoszewski as a fabrication/welding assessor at its headquarters in the Kirkhill Industrial Estate in Dyce.
The firm works closely with business clients and Skills Development Scotland to deliver courses across a wide range of disciplines in sectors including welding, fabrication, mechanical engineering, business administration and logistics.
Mr Kokoszewski, who has many years of experience in welding, previously worked at a number of oil and gas companies in Aberdeen and in his native Poland. In his role at the company, he will give apprentices guidance on fabrication and welding skills in the company’s workshop.
He said: “I am happy to be working with ITCA and enjoy working with the apprentices. Passing on my knowledge and experience to the learners is an extremely rewarding aspect of the job.”
ITCA managing director, June Jones, said: “Maciek’s role at ITCA is extremely important as he has joint responsibility of overseeing all the training and development of the apprentices and employability fund learners. He has industry experience and competencies in the sector, which is extremely beneficial to the learners training them to complete their work to a high standard at all times, ensuring they are ready to utilise and continue to develop their skills in the workplace.”
