LOGANAIR, the UK’s largest regional airline, has further bolstered its route network as it launches a new direct service between Aberdeen and Dublin, with the first flight taking to the skies Sunday 5 September.

Connecting business and leisure travellers alike, the new route will initially operate up to four times weekly, with intentions of increasing frequency to a daily service from Spring 2022.

Operated using a 49-seat Embraer 145 regional jet, the route will see fares starting from £65.99 one-way.

Greig White, Loganair’s Sales Manager, said: “We are constantly monitoring travel trends and customer demand, and we are thrilled to launch our new Aberdeen-Dublin route and build our portfolio with both airports.

“As the largest regional airline in the UK, it is fantastic to further enhance connectivity between Scotland and Ireland, providing direct connectivity for business and leisure passengers alike.”

Mark Beveridge, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport, said: “It’s great to see our airline partner Loganair bring back this fantastic service to the Irish capital, which is sure to be a popular destination for our customers.

“Dublin is an important route for the North East and will deliver vital connectivity for both leisure and business passengers travelling between Scotland and Ireland.”

Vincent Harrison, Dublin Airport Managing Director, said: “Aberdeen is one of Scotland’s most vibrant cities, offering a rich cultural calendar, lively nightlife, scenic coastline, and many spectacular parks and gardens. We are very pleased to welcome the return of Loganair services to Dublin Airport, and I have no doubt that this new route will be popular in both directions for Irish and British customers.”
