AN Aberdeen barber has been shortlisted for five awards at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards.

Sovereign Grooming, based in Union Street, is one of five Scottish establishments in the running for Barbershop of the Year at the SHABA awards, which are being held next year.

Three barbers – Megan Stockford, Nathan Robb and Jamie Taylor – have been shortlisted for individual titles.

The business is also in the running for the Best Social Media prize.

Kyle Ross, managing director, said: “2020 has been a tough year, but it’s great to round it off with some good news and some national recognition for our dedicated team.”
