AJT Engineering is a supplier to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide in the oil and gas, energy and general engineering sectors, having built its reputation on the repair, refurbishment and new manufacture of pressure control and drilling equipment for the oil and gas sector. Based on their wide-ranging engineering capabilities and facilities, AJT provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for engineering manufacture, repair, test and assembly across many industries and is poised to expand further this year.
Dave comes to AJT with over 30 years experience in manufacturing and engineering: including oil and gas, power, engineering for sciences, medical and semiconductor industrial sectors. He has been influential in dedicated design projects ā inventing, reverse engineering and designing for manufacture (including full turnkey solutions). His industry experience includes Managing Director roles at RQT Engineering Limited and Almond Engineering Limited and he brings a wealth of production engineering knowledge as well as design management skills.
This latest announcement comes in response to a high level of interest for AJT’s specialised engineering services from the power, renewables, rail, nuclear and valve industries, as well as oil and gas, along with increased demand for the experienced project team in ATJ’s new Site Services division. This includes a recent large contract win with a large Scottish hydro power supply company refurbishing large hydro dam gates.
Ken Gauld, Managing Director of AJT Engineering said: “Dave’s skillset will support the continuation of our strategy to build on our core strengths and grow organically and through acquisitions. I am delighted that he has joined us at this key time.”
Of his appointment, Dave said: “I am delighted to join this well-respected engineering company in this role and am looking forward to supporting the ambitious growth plans. AJT is already a key player in the oil and gas market and with the experience we now have in the hydro and renewable’s arena with our Site Services team, we are well placed to expand in this area too.”
