Aberdeen business achieves ATEX and international IECEx certification

ABERDEEN-based, Load Monitoring Systems Ltd, specialists in intelligent load monitoring and measurement products, is now fully ATEX and IECEx certified by SGS Baseefa.

As one of the major notified bodies in Europe, SGS Baseefa ensures products and equipment meet the national or international standards and regulations as defined by the European ATEX Directive and the IECEx international system for the safety of equipment for use in explosive atmospheres.

The certification is important for the business to ensure all equipment is tested and approved to be intrinsically-safe for use in hazardous working environments.

Richard Legge, technical manager, said: “Hazardous working environments are common-place across many industry sectors and equipment with a potential ignition source must meet ATEX or IECEx requirements for the health and safety of workers in explosive atmospheres.
