McGill’s Group has suspended its direct bus link between Aberdeen city centre and Edinburgh Airport only half a year after the service launched.
The Fly Aberdeen route, which departed from Little John Street and ran eight times daily via Dundee, was halted on 26 October 2025. The service had been designed to cater for early morning and late evening flights, offering a 2 hour 40 minute journey to the capital’s airport.
In an email to a passenger, a McGill’s customer advisor confirmed: “Unfortunately, the Fly Aberdeen service has stopped running. The service ended on 26 October 2025.”
The decision means Aberdeen travellers will no longer have a direct coach connection to Edinburgh Airport over the winter months, though McGill’s Dundee–Edinburgh service continues to operate.
The company has not confirmed whether the Aberdeen route will return in 2026.
