SINCE Shay Logan exclusively revealed in Aberdeen Business News he was launching his own plumbing and heating business it’s been non-stop for the Aberdeen FC star.

Shay along with fellow director Mathew Wilson and operations director Stuart Wilson have been inundated with job applications.

He said: “We always knew we’d get interest but I really didn’t know how much.

“We had a lot of people send in their CVs.  There was about 20 looking for an apprenticeship and at least 15 people applying for the plumbing job.

“We’ve now recruited a plumber and looking to get another one in place very soon because we always wanted to start with two. But we wanted to make sure we had the jobs in place first.”

Shay and the team are looking to get going with their first jobs for LoganWilson Plumbing & Heating within the next week or so.

The company will carry out maintenance, installation and refurbishment works across the North-east with their office based in Dyce.

Shay said:  “It’s all kicked off really well. So far we’ve priced about 20 jobs and I’ve been at them all apart from two or three due to my football commitments.

“I want to show people that it’s my business and I will be involved.

“When I’m off from football I’ll be there as much as I can because I’ve still got a lot to learn.

“I’m miles behind because of Covid.  I need to get going. I’ll be fully fledged stuck in.

“It’s exciting times ahead for us.”
