Aberdeen Football Club stadium plans approved by Council

Aberdeen Football Club’s application for planning consent for a new stadium and associated facilities at Kingsford were today (29 January 2018) approved by Aberdeen City Council.

The application was considered by elected members at a special meeting of full Council.

Councillors voted 32-9 in favour of the plans, supporting the recommendation from planners that the proposals were approved subject to a number of conditions as considered at today’s meeting.

The application is for a 20,000 capacity stadium, football academy comprising outdoor pitches, pavilion and ancillary buildings, ancillary uses, access roads, parking and associated landscaping and engineering works at West Kingsford.
