Since then, Aberdeen International airport has welcomed more than 4.7 million easyJet passengers.

today, the airline has four routes from Aberdeen International Airport including the original London Luton route, a double daily London Gatwick service and Geneva within the winter months.

In October last year, easyJet launched its second international route to Paris, Charles de Gaulle.

The twice-weekly service operates every Monday and Friday offering passengers in the North East with a direct route to one of Europe’s major transport hubs offering wider connectivity to the continent and beyond.

Robert Paterson, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport said: “This is an incredible milestone for easyJet at our airport and we are very proud to be celebrating with them.

“This anniversary is a testament to easyJet and the millions of passengers they have served from Aberdeen and it has been great to see them go from strength to strength adding in the Paris destination from our airport last year.”

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be marking 30 years of flying to and from Aberdeen, where we’ve continued to grow our operations, most recently launching our second international route to Paris Charles de Gaulle last October. As Scotland’s largest airline we remain focused on offering great value fares and convenient connections for customers in the North East. With fares from £21.99 and many already planning their summer holidays, now is the perfect time to book a getaway with easyJet. We look forward to welcoming even more customers on board this year.”
