Global marine geophysical specialist PXGEO has appointed Alison Hazell as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective immediately. Ms Hazell joins CEO Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison, Jnr. at the helm, while both continue to serve in their senior leadership roles at energy services organisation, EnerMech. Both businesses share common shareholders.

PXGEO, established in 2021, has quickly earned a reputation for excellence in marine seismic data solutions, leveraging the combined power of ocean bottom node and towed streamer acquisition techniques to deliver seamless subsurface imaging and support a more sustainable energy future.

Ms Hazell was appointed EnerMech CMO in August 2024, having joined the business in 2017. As well as founding and directing her own marketing agency, she has held senior client service positions at Denvir Marketing, Immediate Media Co, and BBC Magazines.

Based in Aberdeen, UK, she will lead on the development and roll-out of PXGEO’s global communications, marketing and branding strategy and play a key role in its senior leadership team to drive business growth, enhance customer engagement and strengthen its market position.

The dual leadership model across PXGEO and EnerMech is underpinned by strong executive teams and a shared governance structure, including aligned board representation across both companies.

Ms Hazell said: “The opportunity to shape and lead marketing efforts at such a pivotal time for PXGEO fills me with immense excitement. The shared values and corporate alignment between PXGEO and EnerMech make this transition feel natural, and I look forward to working with the team as we advance our strategic goals, deliver value for our clients and shareholders, and build on the company’s momentum. I’m looking forward to get to know everyone in the months ahead.”

Mr Davison added: “Having seen first-hand the creativity and clarity Ali brings to marketing and communications, I’m thrilled she’s joining me at PXGEO. Her deep sector knowledge and sharp insight into the energy industry’s unique messaging challenges make her an invaluable asset as we begin the next chapter of PXGEO’s journey.”
