Aberdeen mum and business owner, Steph Eady, has launched The Wee Hive – a new online hub and community designed to help families across the North-east of Scotland discover local classes, events and family-friendly businesses, all in one place.

Steph, who is also the co-founder of digital marketing agency Mission10, noticed a gap in the market for a one-stop shop for families in the North-east following her own journey into motherhood.

“Many parents across the region rely on word-of-mouth recommendations or spend hours searching online to discover what’s happening nearby.” Steph explained. “At the same time, small local providers often struggle to reach the families who would love what they offer. The Wee Hive exists to change that.”

The Wee Hive brings together everything from music, sensory and swimming classes to outdoor play sessions, local events and trusted family-friendly businesses – including cafes, nurseries, photographers, party planners and more.

Parents can easily browse classes across the North-east and filter listings by day, age group, location or activity type. Already, more than 220 individual classes are listed, including We Talk a Latte, KIDS ROCK, The Play Patch, Splat Messy Play and many others.

Steph added: “Classes and local groups were such a lifeline for me – not just for my son Asher’s development, but for my own sense of connection and belonging. I realised how hard it was to find out what was available locally, and that’s where the idea for The Wee Hive was born.

“We’re building a trusted, inspiring hub where families can discover everything in one place. It’s a guide that makes it easy to explore, try new things and feel part of something bigger.”

Class providers interested in joining The Wee Hive can register via the website: https://theweehive.co.uk/register
