In contrast, the expenses in Scotland’s two biggest cities – Glasgow and Edinburgh – amount to £204 and £200 per week, respectively.
StuRents’ website boasts more than 750,000 listings, positioning itself as the most detailed resource for information and feedback, covering aspects like the variety of housing options, the fluctuation in demand throughout the year, and the cost differences within cities.
The University of Aberdeen also ranks highly in various rankings that evaluate the quality of education and the overall student experience:
- 10th in the UK and 48th globally in the Times Higher Education Impact rankings
- 12th in the Guardian University Guide
- 19th in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide
A University spokesperson said: “By maintaining affordable rental options, Aberdeen strengthens its reputation as a welcoming and supportive environment for higher education.
“This allows us to continue to attract a diverse student population which enriches the cultural fabric of the city and contributes to the local economy.”
