A retail park in Aberdeen anchored by KFC and American Golf is set to go under the hammer this month, with bidding starting at just over £2.2 million.
Haudagain Retail Park, located off the A96 at the junction with the A90 near the Haudagain roundabout, will be offered by Future Property Auctions, with online bidding opening on Thursday, August 6 at 10am.
The site comprises four units: American Golf, pet retailer Pets and Care, a KFC drive-thru, and a former Taco Bell drive-thru that is no longer trading. The park also provides 76 parking spaces, according to the auction listing.
The occupied units currently generate a combined annual rental income of £242,000, the auction listing states, with KFC understood to be the largest contributor to that total.
The listing describes the park as benefiting from “a diverse and resilient tenant line-up, anchored by internationally recognised quick-service restaurant operators KFC & Taco Bell, alongside strong national and specialislist retailers,” and highlights scope for “further drive-thru/drive-to development” on the site.
Planning permission for a third drive-thru restaurant at the park was granted in 2021, but the plot has yet to be developed. The former Taco Bell unit, which opened the same year, closed permanently in December 2023, less than two years after opening, leaving KFC as the only fast-food drive-thru still trading on site.

Haudagain Retail Park, which first opened in 1999, was previously sold for £2.7 million in 2017 to a Northern Ireland-based property investment firm. It has changed hands twice since 2021’s drive-thru approval, most recently in April this year, with the property having also been marketed with an asking price of around £3 million in early 2025.
American Golf and KFC have both traded at the site since it opened, while Pets and Care took up its unit in 2023 following the closure of a previous tenant.
