During the event, visitors to Aberdeen Science Centre will take part in a variety of Halloween-themed activities, including slime making and spooky scientific demonstrations, followed by free time on the centre’s exhibition floor to explore its diverse and exciting exhibits.

Children are also encouraged to come to Aberdeen Science Centre in fancy dress for the event, as the activities will culminate in Halloween party games and a costume competition.

Lynda McConnach, public and digital coordinator at Aberdeen Science Centre, said: “We have a special treat available for families this Halloween as we celebrate the occasion in style with eerie experiments and ghoulish games. There will be fun for all ages as we discover more about the science behind some of the most iconic elements of Halloween through demonstrations from our fantastic STEM communicators.

“Of course, a Halloween event wouldn’t be complete without a costume contest, so we are asking our visitors to dress up as their favourite heroes, villains or monsters for the party, with the best dressed children taking home a special prize. If you would like to join in on the fun this Halloween, remember to book ahead as spaces at the event are expected to fill up fast!”

Visitors to Aberdeen Science Centre for the Halloween event will be divided into groups upon arrival and will travel around the centre as they experience the different games and scientific experiments on offer.

Ticket packages for the Halloween event cost £18, which includes admission to Aberdeen Science Centre for one child and two parents or carers and access to all the special activities.

Bookings for the Halloween activities must be made in advance via the Aberdeen Science Centre website. To book, please visit: https://aberdeensciencecentre.org/product/halloween-family-special/

Based on Constitution Street near Aberdeen beach, ASC is home to almost 65 interactive exhibits, allowing people of all ages to discover topics including Space, Energy, Life Sciences, Engineering, and much more.

In addition to the Halloween party, Aberdeen Science Centre is the ideal spot to host a birthday party. Catering for 5–12-year-olds, birthday party groups can explore the exhibition floor, take part in hands-on workshops in the centre’s function rooms or Apache-sponsored Lab area and enjoy some delicious party food from the onsite cafe, Grub.

Open seven days a week, the VisitScotland 5-star rated visitor attraction also offers exclusive venue and room hire for corporate, social and private events, alongside corporate sponsorship opportunities.
