Aberdeen Alarm Company (AAC), a fire and security systems provider with operations across Scotland, has been acquired by ENTRO Service Group as part of the European firm’s entry into the UK market.

Founded in 2007 by Philip Lever and Gordon Brooks, AAC has grown to employ more than 50 staff across offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh. The company provides the design, installation, servicing and maintenance of integrated fire detection and alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control solutions to commercial, industrial and public-sector clients.

The acquisition forms part of a twin-deal UK launch by ENTRO, which simultaneously acquired Bi-Fold Rolfe, a Southampton-based specialist in industrial and commercial doors and access systems. Together, the two deals give the German-headquartered group a foothold in the UK with around 100 employees across five locations and approximately €10 million in annual revenue.

ENTRO, which operates from 21 locations across Europe and employs more than 350 people, is backed by Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), a global mid-market private equity firm. LLCP took a majority stake in ENTRO in 2025, providing capital to support an acquisitive growth strategy across the continent.

Under the terms of the deal, AAC will retain its brand, leadership and operational structure, with Lever and Brooks continuing to run the business. The transaction is structured as a growth partnership rather than a straightforward trade sale, with ENTRO providing strategic support and access to group resources while preserving what it describes as AAC’s “entrepreneurial culture.”

“We were looking for a partner who understands our market and values long-term relationships,” said AAC founder Philip Lever. “ENTRO provides strategic clarity and operational support, while allowing us to continue leading the business and building on our strong position in Scotland.”

Claudio Tubach, Managing Director of ENTRO, said the acquisition was consistent with the group’s buy-and-build model. “AAC is a strong founder-led business with an excellent reputation and deep customer relationships. Our role is to support its next chapter – providing succession where needed and enabling growth where there is clear ambition. We are building a strong UK group rooted in local excellence, collaboration and long-term commitment.”

KBS Corporate advised AAC on the transaction, with Jacob Lord, Associate Director, describing the deal as evidence of continued international appetite for quality UK businesses. “The sale to an ambitious overseas acquirer highlights both the strength of the company and the continued international interest in high-quality UK organisations,” he said.

Financial due diligence was provided by Saffery, while law firm Wallace acted as legal adviser to ENTRO on both UK acquisitions. ENTRO has indicated that further acquisitions in the UK market are planned.
