In partnership with Bridge of Don-based Techno-Play, the centre is holding a bouncy castle event within the Bon Accord mall on Saturday, April 18, which will be available for a suggested donation of £2 per go.

The extravaganza marks the start of the centre’s One Great Day fundraising campaign, which takes place this year on Saturday, June 6.

The nationwide initiative will see shopping centres invite their customers to a day of events and activities to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and a chosen local charity.

Bon Accord & St Nicholas has chosen CLAN Cancer Support as its nominated charity for the year, and all funds raised between now and June 6 will be split between the two causes.

Craig Stevenson, manager of Bon Accord & St Nicholas, said: “We’re delighted to be involved with the One Great Day campaign again this year and we’re busy planning ahead for what should be a fun and memorable day on June 6.

“This year, we’ve decided to start our fundraising for the day early and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Techno-Play for the bouncy castle event this Saturday. If you’re looking for something for your children to do before they head back to school, come along and join in the fun alongside helping raise funds for what are two, extremely worthwhile causes.”
