Art audiences in Aberdeen are being invited to celebrate creativity and collaboration during a hands-on print making exhibition being held in the city next week.

The three-day event, Print @ The Print Room 2025, will see art students from International School Aberdeen (ISA) team up with Peacock, a workshop for art and Aberdeen’s printmaking studio.

The free exhibition, which runs from Thursday, February 13th to Saturday, February 15th, will also showcase over 300 unique print works created by ISA art students aged 3 to 18 (preschool to Grade 12).

The works of the ISA students are the result of months of creative exploration as the young artists have honed their printmaking skills under the guidance of dedicated art teachers and local printmaking professionals.

Nicolina Rea, ISA Art Teacher and Print @ The Print Room co-ordinator, said, “This exhibition is a testament to the creativity and talent of our students at ISA. This is an amazing opportunity for every student in the school to take part in an exciting art experience and see their work exhibited in an art gallery space.”

Print @ The Print Room highlights include:

A stunning display of student artwork, celebrating the artistic talents of Aberdeen’s young creatives
Open workshop where visiting children can create prints on site
Selected pieces from Peacock & the Worm’s collection, complementing the student works and reflecting the dynamic artistic landscape of the city
Location: The Print Room, 252 Union Street, Aberdeen
Open to: Students, parents, school staff, and the public
Admission: Free
David McCracken, Peacock & the Worm Arts Business Manager said, “We are delighted to partner with International School Aberdeen for the second year running. This event highlights the appeal of immersive creative experiences and showcases the incredible talent within our city’s vibrant artistic community.

“Print @ The Print Room will bring people together through artistic collaboration which is central to our vision to cultivate situations where creativity flourishes and connections are formed.”

The Print Room, part of Peacock & the Worm since September 2022, offers a dedicated space for artistic innovation and collaboration. This partnership highlights the vital role that art plays in fostering connections between Aberdeen’s schools, galleries, and local creatives.

ISA and Peacock & the Worm will welcome members of the public to Print @ the Print Room on Thursday 13th February at 5pm for the opening.

Workshops will take place on Saturday, February 15th, from 10am -5pm.
