AN ABERDEEN survival training company has appointed a new business development manager.

David Newbigging has taken on the role at Survivex and sister company AIS Training, part of the 3T Energy Group.

The 39-year-old will be responsible for promoting the Dyce based company’s portfolio of oil and gas, wind energy and industrial health and safety courses to Aberdeen businesses and raise awareness AIS Training services, across Scotland.

David has worked in senior business development roles for the past ten years with organisations such as the Global Energy Group, Iqarus and drilling fluid service provider, Focus Optimisation Solutions, formerly QTEC.

He said: “Joining the 3T Energy Group is extremely exciting.  I’m really looking forward to talking to Aberdeen businesses to find out how we can help them now and in the future.”

Survivex and AIS Training commercial sales director, Gavin Taylor, said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the team. He has exceptional knowledge of the oil and gas sector and a fantastic track record of building strong client relationships.
