Currently five members of SEM staff are based in HEMA’s Oman office, with plans in the pipeline to recruit additional personnel locally and invest in the local economy by partnering with Omani manufacturing firms to develop tailored new technologies and services in the region.

John Jones, SEM chief executive officer, said: “This is an exceptionally exciting time for us at SEM, as we spread our global reach and bring our environmentally conscious technologies to new markets.

“Oman, in particular, is a rapidly developing market which offers a host of new opportunities for the technologies we have driven from prototype to commercialisation.”

Eyhab Al Haj, Hema Group managing director, said:  “Hema Energy has always been passionate in serving its clients’ needs by bringing in innovative technologies from all over the world and this move to collaborate with SEM, not only aids the clients in resolving their issues, but also brings in the concept of going green to the oil and gas industry.”
