The Chester Hotel, based on Queen’s Road, was named ‘Boutique Hotel of the Year’ and IX Restaurant’s executive chef Kevin Dalgleish was named ‘Head Chef of the Year’ at the recent Prestige Hotel Awards 2017.
Voted by the public, the inaugural Prestige Hotel Awards aims to showcase and reward outstanding service within Scotland’s hotel industry. The Chester Hotel and its culinary team have now been awarded over 20 accolades since opening in 2012, plus two AA Rosettes and a recommendation in the Michelin Guide for fine dining IX Restaurant. These awards follow on from Kevin’s participation in BBC Two’s MasterChef: The Professionals where he reached the quarter finals in 2016.
