The organisers of the Future Oil and Gas Conference said that due to concerns over the spread of Covid-19 it was “no longer possible” to hold the event in June.

They added that it was a “difficult decision”.

A spokesman said: “The experience and the health and safety of our delegates, partners and staff always come first to us in the delivery of our events.

“The global situation with COVID-19 means this will no longer be possible to achieve in the short term.

“However, we are very confident that the Future Oil & Gas event in December will continue to support the oil and gas sector and help facilitate digital transformation in the unique circumstances we find ourselves.

“Our team very much look forward to welcoming you later in the year with a more positive outlook for 2021.”

The location of the event is yet to be confirmed.
