Aberdeen Group has announced continued growth across its direct-to-consumer investment platform interactive investor (ii), with the business expected to deliver record net flows in the second quarter of 2026.

The update comes as Aberdeen hosts a roundtable discussion focused on ii’s performance, one year on from the platform’s Spotlight event in June 2025.

Jason Windsor, CEO of Aberdeen, Richard Wilson, CEO of interactive investor and COO of Aberdeen, alongside members of the ii executive team, will provide insights into the platform’s growth strategy, market position and future opportunities.

The business is expected to achieve net flows of more than £3.7 billion in Q2 2026, representing an increase of around 23% compared with Q1 2026 and more than 50% compared with the same period last year.

Aberdeen said the performance reflects ii’s position within the growing UK direct-to-consumer (D2C) investment market, with the sector forecast to reach around £1.1 trillion in assets by 2030.

The group highlighted ii’s flat-fee subscription model, investment in technology, customer service and expanding product offering as key drivers behind its growth.

The platform is also exploring opportunities through enhanced digital capabilities, including the use of artificial intelligence.

Jason Windsor, CEO of Aberdeen, said: “interactive investor is a powerful growth engine, with the record net flows in 2026 we are sharing today further evidencing its significant potential.

“The performance of the business reflects the appeal of its subscription model, technology platform, customer proposition, execution capabilities, and talented and dedicated team.

“I remain confident in ii’s ability to capture a growing share of this expanding and attractive market and deliver strong growth in assets, customer numbers, flows and customer engagement, buoyed by the favourable structural trends in the UK D2C market.”

Richard Wilson, CEO of ii and COO of Aberdeen, added: “We continue to execute against our strategy centred on customer experience, growth, efficiency and innovation; and will invest continuously in enhancing value, choice and service for our customers.

“Ongoing product developments and investment in technology and brand have supported sustained momentum and we believe position us well to broaden our appeal into the future.”

Aberdeen said ii will continue to focus on customer growth, technology investment and innovation as it looks to strengthen its position within the UK investment platform market.
