Aberdeenshire start-up eyes £150,000 ad campaign in competition

Newly-launched food and gift business, All About Lemons, could walk away from a UK-wide competition with a £150,000 marketing campaign.

The company, which was founded this month, has entered the Virgin Media Business Pitch to Rich competition, which aims to find and support the country’s most ambitious and thrilling start-ups.

All About Lemons currently has two showcase products, made-to-order lemon curd and lemonade, which are being made available to customers from next month. Both products have no additives, gluten or preservatives and are suitable for vegetarians and allergy sufferers. The company also practices a “no waste” production principle, where all materials used during the production processes are fully recycled and reused.

The founder of All About Lemons, Joyce Scott, said: “The company ethos is to use an environmentally-friendly no-waste production process. To achieve this target, an end product is currently undergoing product testing to produce a lemon abrasive cleaning product from the lemon and egg shell residue.”

The company is currently ranking with in the top three Aberdeenshire entries in the Pitch to Rich competition. More information can be found here.
