Jobseekers in Aberdeen will have an opportunity to meet local employers looking to fill vacancies next month at the latest in a series of jobs fairs aimed at supporting people into work.
The free-to-attend event, which takes place at the Beach Ballroom from 10am-3pm on Thursday 30 September an organised ABZWorks, Aberdeen City Council’s Employability and Skills service, is always popular with employers and jobseekers alike, attracting hundreds of people keen to work. Some free exhibition space is still available to employers with live vacancies
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard, said: “Helping to eliminate poverty through supporting people enter into the local workforce remains one of the top priorities for the Council.
“Linking employers who have vacancies with jobseekers through the expert support of ABZWorks staff is an ideal opportunity for everyone and I would encourage as many employing organisations and potential employees as possible to come along to the jobs fair.”
Attendees are advised to bring copies of their CVs and Right to Work in UK documentation as they will have the chance to chat to employers face-to-face to discuss current vacancies and to apply for jobs.
ABZWorks employability staff will be on hand to provide support and guidance. Attendees are welcome to bring someone with them for support.
The first hour of the event (10am-11am) will be a quiet hour for people with additional support needs.
