Gillian, who joined the firm in 2011, jointly manages the corporation tax team. In recent years she has increasingly focused on larger corporates, dedicating much of her time to managing the delivery of corporate tax services to a portfolio of globally operating businesses and entities within multinational groups.

Jane, who works in the business advisory team, joined Johnston Carmichael in 2017, and specialises in the Scottish agricultural industry. With her roots running deep in farming, Jane is also the bookkeeper at the family farm and does occasional lecturing to SRUC MSc Agricultural Professional Practice students.

The news comes soon after the announcement of three new office heads for the firm in Aberdeen, Inverness and Forfar as part of its long-term succession plan.

Andrew Walker, Johnston Carmichael chief executive, said: “We are thoroughly committed to supporting our talented employees right across the firm and I absolutely believe that we are nurturing some of the very best talent in the industry.
“Those individuals who have been promoted have been at the vanguard of efforts to guide our clients during the coronavirus pandemic, through what has been an undeniably challenging time for the business community.

“This December saw 36 of our people promoted across a range of offices and business lines, taking our total promotions for the year across the firm to 70.”
