The event is designed to showcase the Aberdeen region directly to key clients, potential clients, contacts, event partners and decision makers in their own cities.

Last week, AECC along with partners from the National Trust for Scotland, VisitAberdeen and VisitScotland hosted key clients and contacts for the Aberdeen Invasion event, encouraging them to bring their events to the vibrant, buoyant North East of Scotland to experience not only a warm welcome but a City-wide team approach who are ready to assist in making their next event in Aberdeen their best ever.

AECC, along with partners, welcomed over 60 guests from the MICE, entertainment and media markets; who all enjoyed a taste of the delights our beautiful Granite City has to offer, and promote Aberdeen City and Shire as a world class destination for national and international conferences and events.

The Team delighted in championing Aberdeen as the destination of choice for conferences, events and concerts. With the aim of attracting further interest in the North East of Scotland and bringing new and diverse visitors to Aberdeen, with a very positive impact on the region as a whole.

Fiona Mann, AECC’s Director of Operations and Safety, commented: “The Aberdeen Invasion is always well received by our London contacts and this year was definitely highlighted by the news of the new AECC; which everyone was delighted to hear more about.”

Louise Lonie, Head of Sales and Marketing at AECC, added: “By taking Aberdeen direct to London, we are delivering a strong and dynamic message to key industry contacts, that Aberdeen wants their business! Putting Aberdeen on the map; directly in front of the key decision makers.”
