“We are delighted to be helping provide critical infrastructure in support of Aberdeen’s investment journey in low-carbon transportation, as part of its net-zero ambitions,” said Eloise John, Director of Energy, UK & Ireland, AECOM.

“Through this contract  with bpAHEL, we are supporting the growth of a new generation of green skilled workers and helping to transition local jobs and supply chains to ensure the city is ready to take full advantage of the global energy transition and the economic opportunities it will bring to Aberdeen and the wider region.”

AECOM has built a bespoke team for this project which will involve managing all interfaces between the four works contractors, leading the safety in design activities and compliance with CDM regulations together with ensuring that all planning and license conditions are appropriately discharged.

In delivering these roles, AECOM will lead and co-ordinate all external stakeholder communications necessary to deliver the project.

This follows successfully taking the project through planning permission, and providing the design integration for the project prior to the final investment decision (FID) being taken.
