The firm has appointed Lee Hart to the position, who will be tasked with assisting in the ongoing growth of the company’s customer base in the onshore, offshore, renewable, petrochemical, marine and industrial sectors.

Lee brings over 15 years of in-depth knowledge from the electrical industry to the job, and also has extensive experience in the delivery of integrated services to global operators in the oil and gas industry.

He said: “This is a great opportunity to work with a highly skilled team within a growing company of international significance.

“The current downturn undoubtedly means that there will be challenging times ahead but the end goals remain, and smart thinking combined with best practice will fuel growth in our client base in the oil and gas and other sectors.

“Diagnosis of the current market and focus on areas such as international growth are very important to us. To move forward in any overseas market it is important to understand political environments and company cultures and strategies, and I look forward to playing a part in AEL’s future success.”

AEL operations director, Alan Mackie, added: “In positioning the company for continued international expansion, it is vital to have the correct people in place.

“We are confident that the addition of Lee to our growing management team will play an important role in driving forward our ambitious plans for significant growth in a growing number of key international locations.”

AEL will exhibit at OTC in Houston from May 4 – 7 and will be at booth 2063. The company will also take part in Offshore Europe 2015 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre from September 8 – 11 when the company will be on stand 2E52.
