Aker Solutions Names New Country Manager for the UK

Aker Solutions has appointed Sian Lloyd Rees as UK Country Manager, based in Aberdeen.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Sian has held a number of leadership roles in both blue chip and start-up companies. Her career started in the oil and gas industry working at Stena Offshore before progressing across multiple lines of business in the Halliburton Corporation. She also spent time working in the IT industry with Petrocosm and Oracle  Corporation, where she latterly managed the global accounts group delivering over 1.3 billion dollars in ongoing sales and partnerships.

Sian’s broad experience in oil and gas, coupled with the digital pace and entrepreneurship encouraged in the IT industry, have contributed to a proven track record in developing new and profitable business opportunities. Sian joined Aker Solutions in 2014 and has held leadership roles in several functions, including strategy and marketing, services development and global alliances. As well as her role as Country Manager for the UK, Sian will lead the customer management function for Aker Solutions across Europe and Africa.

Sian takes over country management responsibility from David Clark who will now focus on his role as Executive Vice President for Aker Solutions’ global services organisation.
