ALBYN SCHOOL, an independent school for children aged two to 18 located in Aberdeen, is delighted to announce the strategic enhancement of its Development, Marketing and Admissions teams. This initiative is part of the School’s ongoing dedication to providing exceptional educational opportunities for pupils and further establishing its position as a leading education institution in the region. 

Albyn School welcomed Frances Loughrey as its Development Director in March. Frances has vast experience in alumni relations and fundraising in the UK and overseas, making her ideally suited to spearhead the School’s alumni engagement and development efforts. She is responsible for fostering relationships with former pupils and friends of the School, as well as developing ways to support additional revenue for Albyn.

Heading the Marketing and Admissions team is Fleur Murdoch who joined Albyn School in March as Director of Marketing and Admissions. Fleur brings with her a wealth of experience in the field, having spent many years successfully leading marketing and admissions teams at educational institutions in Hong Kong. In this newly created role, Fleur is responsible for marketing, branding and admissions strategies across Nursery, Lower School and Upper School, and developing new internal and external communications strategies.  

In April, Albyn School welcomed another key addition to its marketing team, Danica Ollerova. Danica joins as Marketing and Communications Manager after spending more than five years at DC Thomson. Her strong background in media relations is proving to be invaluable as she shares the achievements of Albyn School and its pupils and contributes to the School’s outreach and engagement initiatives. 

Also joining in April, Anna Dixon took up the role of Marketing and Admissions Assistant. She assumed responsibility for in-house design, ensuring visually compelling marketing materials that are on brand and effectively communicate Albyn School’s values and offering. As a former pupil, Anna is looking forward to leading tours for prospective families, showcasing the various facilities, classrooms and amenities the School has to offer. 

Albyn School also boasts a dedicated Admissions team who are integral to ensuring a seamless enrolment process. Kate Simpson has been with Albyn School for eight years. Her extensive knowledge of the School’s ethos and admissions procedures makes her a valuable resource for prospective families. Claire Rae has been part of the Albyn School community for five years and is highly regarded for her personalised approach to assisting families throughout their admissions journey. 

Francesca McKelvie, Marketing and Communications Manager, and Amy Smith, Admissions Officer, are currently on maternity leave.
