Amec Foster Wheeler assets bought by Australia’s WorleyParsons

Australian engineering firm WorleyParsons Ltd is to enter the North Sea market with the purchase of the former upstream oil and gas assets of Amec Foster Wheeler for £228m.

AFW was prompted to see its upstream assets to satisfy the UK’s Competition And Markets Authority (CMA) before being bought by John Wood Group Plc in the proposed £2.2billion deal.
