I joined the O&G industry in 2012 and landed in a business development role where I was responsible for supporting our directors with sales strategy and delivery. I was looking for a relative training course or event to upskill/help me learn, but everything I found was very generic and were suited to anything from selling shoes to a drilling rig. During the downturn, I’ve worked with many businesses that have been struggling with their sales development. DoqaruCon provides an opportunity for business owners, sales and business development teams to hear from industry experts and from industry sales professionals who have been there and done it.
WHAT TYPE OF EVENT IS DOQARUCON?
It’s a 1-Day Sales Development Conference for the Energy Sectors. We will focus on Oil & Gas and Offshore Renewables. There will be a mix of keynote speakers, panel sessions and a networking and exhibition area.
WHO IS DOQARUCON FOR?
The event is for the individuals setting the strategy (e.g. Business Owners and Executives) and those who are responsible for the delivery (e.g. Sales, BD and Marketing professionals). We have bookings from start-up level companies through to large corporates from within the energy sectors or looking to engage.

We have almost 30 speakers confirmed so I won’t list them all. Most of them are from the industry but we have a few others who will be speaking in Aberdeen for the first time, including Mark Wright (Winner of BBC The Apprentice 2014 and MD of Climb Online), Rob Moore (Serial Entrepreneur & Best-Selling Author, Investor and Podcaster), and VIP Dinner Keynote Speaker Lee Frank Spencer (Founder of The Rowing Marine and World Record Holder).
