Design consultancy Ashton McGill has re-launched as an accountancy business which claims to be the world’s first design-led Accounting business, based in Dundee, the UK’s only UNESCO City of Design.
Ashton McGill co-founders Alasdair and Andy McGill have combined their expertise in accounting, service design and digital strategy to create a new service that aims to help businesses grow through enabling them to better understand their financials.

“Accounting is a reactive profession, and over the years, I have experienced huge frustration at the service provided by accountants and the lack of focus on the customer experience. It’s been a regular topic of conversation among my business-owning friends, and among our clients at Ashton McGill. So I’ve decided to do something about it”, said Alasdair McGill.
25 years after qualifying as an Accountant, Alasdair and co-founder Andy have re-launched as an accounting business, which promises to be different from the rest. Designed with the customer at its heart, Ashton McGill is setting out to transform the way that accounting services are delivered in the U.K.

Ashton McGill will continue to deliver its existing customer experience and digital strategy work through a new Consultancy division.
