Aberdeen based asset integrity and performance management company Asset Integrity Group Ltd (AIG) has been awarded a contract by global drilling contractor Huisman in the Netherlands.

AIG have been selected to develop and implement a verification scheme including a full suite of performance standards, to provide the minimum safety assurance tasks for alignment of Huisman’s maintenance management system in compliance with Dutch regulations and EU directive. Operating between the Netherlands and AIG’s HQ in Aberdeen, the team will support utilising some of the expansive service offerings within their portfolio.

Operations Director William McLean commented “We are delighted to be supporting such a major player within the Oil and Gas industry, more so that the services of AIG have been sought on an international scale due to our ability to support such requirements responsively with high end results.”

Two geothermal wells will be directionally drilled to depths of approximately 2,500 meters, utilising Huisman’s LOC 400 drilling rig.

AIG’s support will ensure that planned drilling operations are carried out safely and that all Major Accident Hazards are identified and risk mitigated to as low as reasonably practical. This ensures for safe and environmentally friendly operations throughout the entire drilling campaign.
