International specialist digital learning firm Atlas Knowledge has increased its number of partner companies in Africa to almost 30% of its total partner network following the Aberdeen-headquartered firms’ first ever series of overseas workshops which were held across the region.
Atlas’ Channel Partner Management team travelled to Ghana and South Africa for a series of sessions with training providers to discuss becoming distribution partners, making valuable connections that resulted in seven new companies coming on board.

Channel partners have access to Atlas’ range of more than 2,500 courses, covering safety critical industry sectors. These include chemical processing, electrical disciplines, oil and gas operations, travel and security.
It means 59 out of its 204 distribution partners and invigilation centres worldwide are now in Africa, a key region for skills, learning and development in safety critical industries. These companies travelled from countries across Africa for the workshops and are involved in the energy, education, and health and safety sectors. They will support the integration of Atlas’ suite of eLearning courses at a local level.
As part of the workshops there were presentations on Atlas’ learning management software, product demonstrations and knowledge sharing sessions. Atlas gained valuable insight into the key challenges affecting their in-country partners which has since enabled them to further refine their service offering.
Atlas’ channel partner manager, Lesley Wallace, said: “We’re very proud of our relationship building in Africa and although the primary aim of the visit was to support our existing channel partners in Ghana and South Africa, it was really encouraging to make so many new contacts in person and establish new business opportunities. We found there is a real appetite from companies wanting to utilise our safety critical digital learning expertise, that we are renowned for delivering across the world.
“Ghana was especially busy and we know our eLearning courses are having a positive impact in major cities including Accra and Sekondi-Takoradi. In South Africa, we held meetings with standards bodies in Cape Town with the South Africa Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the South African Oil and Gas Alliance (SAOGA) to explore how our courses could be made more widely available.”
David Dake, team lead at Ghana-based training provider Work Health and Safety Organisation (WHSO), said: “We are dedicated to partnering with the best training providers to support our customers to reduce operational risk. The International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) course is one of the most in-demand in Africa.
