AN Aberdeen audiovisual company has sponsored a new exhibit at Aberdeen’s Science Centre. Utilising a 98-inch ultra high definition (UHD) screen that previously live-linked with a touch console to the NASA website, the new exhibit close to the entrance challenges children and adults to successfully manoeuvre a spaceship onto a docking station. Meanwhile the NASA exhibit has been relocated and installed on the other side of the exhibit floor, via a brand new, UHD 75-inch screen donated by the audiovisual firm.
“We were delighted to sponsor this new exhibit for the Science Centre, having maintained a close partnership with them since outfitting all AV aspects of the building as part of its £6 million refurb back in 2020,” explains AV One’s Managing Director, Graeme McGuire. “The AV experience at Aberdeen Science Centre plays a key role in inspiring an interest in the applications of science and technology in the next generation, and we’re extremely proud to provide AV technology to such a fantastic and important facility in the city.”
The AV company also provided all installations free of charge.

Aberdeen Science Centre’s exhibits are aimed at all ages and are themed into six zones. As well as the Space Zone, visitors to Aberdeen’s five-star visitor attraction can also visit the other five zones: Energy; Life Sciences; Make It, Test It; and a dedicated area for the under-6s, as well as the Shell Learning Zone, where STEM topics are brought to life.
