TWO OF the north-east’s leading hotels have a reason for cheer after a string of local and national award wins and nominations.

City-based Norwood Hall Hotel and Pittodrie House Hotel, located at Chapel of Garioch, have shared six nominations between them over recent weeks with judges impressed by staff’s commitment to providing first-class customer service to brides and grooms.

Norwood Hall won Wedding Venue of the Year the Top Tier Awards, while sister venue Pittodrie House’s Nicola Daniels collected Wedding Co-ordinator of the Year on the same night.

Both hotels have been shortlisted as Wedding Venue of the Year (North) at the Scottish Wedding Awards in February, while Norwood has also been nominated for Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year. The winners will be announced during a black-tie ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on February 25th.

Norwood, which was the only city-based finalist at the recent VOWS Awards (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier), previously secured a hat-trick of prestigious award wins in 2018 with Wedding Venue of the Year honours at the Scottish VOWS Awards, Top Tier Awards and Scottish Wedding Awards respectively.

The hotel’s wedding co-ordinator, Aimee Nekrews, commented: “We’re extremely grateful to every one of our customers who have chosen to celebrate their special day with us and to have been recognised by our industry peers clearly demonstrates the high regard our team is held in more widely.

“We take huge pride in giving our wedding clients a day to remember and this award recognition is testament to the high standards we continually set and aim to deliver for all our guests.”

Nicola Daniels, wedding co-ordinator at Pittodrie House Hotel, said: “I’m thrilled to have won this personal accolade at the Top Tier Awards and feel extremely grateful to everyone who took the time and effort to vote for me.

“This latest success is credit to all the team for their hard work and dedication to ensure that every single wedding guest has the best possible experience when visiting Pittodrie House.

“We are equally proud to be in the running for one of the leading honours the industry has to offer, as part of the Scottish Wedding Awards. Although we’re up against some tough competition, I’m hopeful of doing well on the night.”
