Local children’s charity Befriend a Child is thrilled to announce that their recent Barbie Boozy Brunch events raised an incredible £52,847.25!

Held over two fabulous days at The Marcliffe Hotel, the sell-out events brought together hundreds of supporters in a sea of pink, all in aid of local children growing up in challenging life circumstances across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

With jaw-dropping décor from Adesso and Candy Corner Scotland, entertainment from the fabulous Ken (Kevin Littlejohn) and Right Here Productions, Greigsy on the decks, endless laughter at the 360 Photobooth, and the Marcliffe’s signature hospitality, both days
were packed with fun, fundraising and feel-good vibes.

Every penny raised from the weekend will go directly towards supporting the 250+ children Befriend a Child currently works with, many of whom face challenges such as abuse, neglect, bereavement, parental substance misuse, or social isolation.

Emily Findlay, Marketing and Communications Manager at Befriend a Child, said: “We’ve been absolutely blown away by the generosity, energy and support from everyone who made our Barbie Boozy Brunches such a huge success. To raise over £52,000 in one weekend
is just phenomenal and will have a lasting impact on so many local children who need our support.”

The charity extends a heartfelt thank you to their amazing sponsors – Houz Of Aesthetics (Saturday Gold Sponsor), The Orthodontic Clinic (Sunday Gold Sponsor), and Porsche Centre Aberdeen (Sunday Silver Sponsor), for helping make the weekend truly unforgettable.

A huge shoutout also goes to all the fabulous guests who brought their sparkle, their best Barbie fits, and their generosity, and of course, to the incredible event volunteers who kept everything running smoothly with smiles and sparkle all weekend long!

Emily continued: “The atmosphere across the whole weekend was absolutely electric, our guests really brought the party vibes, and the entertainment was next-level. From start to finish, there was such a buzz in the room, and it was amazing to see everyone embracing
the theme and having so much fun, all while supporting a great cause.”
