BECG Group’s advisory board bolstered by two industry experts

LEADING and award-winning communications consultancy, BECG Group with offices based on Union Street in Aberdeen, has appointed George Mayhew and Hannah David as Senior Strategic Advisors to the Group’s Advisory Board. The two industry experts, with backgrounds in utilities and property respectively, will provide additional heavyweight experience, expertise, and insight across planning, housing, infrastructure, energy and renewables. They join the eight-strong board of specialist senior counsel members who provide expertise to BECG Group’s clients and consultants across the built environment sectors. 

With over 25 years of experience spanning multiple industries across the UK and US, George Mayhew has an impressive track record of driving positive reputational change and resolving significant crisis management issues. He has over 17 years of FTSE 100 Executive Committee experience and is the former Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Thames Water. He has also held directorate roles at National Grid and BAE Systems where he was Chief of Staff.

Focusing on businesses operating in infrastructure, planning, waste and water, and energy, George will bring expert counsel, strategic advice and commercial experience across the Group’s multi-disciplines including public affairs, corporate affairs, PR, social media, internal communications, crisis and reputation management.  
 

Hannah David, Director of thinktank Planning Futures, is a qualified planning/property solicitor with over 30 years’ experience in planning and politics. Prior to Planning Futures, Hannah practised as a solicitor and partner in a London based property firm. She was also an elected member of Hertsmere Borough Council where she chaired various committees and was the Cabinet member for Housing and Planning. Hannah has stood for Parliament, as the Conservative Candidate for Harrow West. 

With her experience in both the public and private sectors and her expertise in navigating the political system at local and national level, Hannah will be providing counsel on the intricate practices and processes of strategic planning and stakeholder management to BECG Group’s planning and public affairs clients and consultants.
