A stunning tribute to the life and work of Vincent van Gogh has officially opened in Aberdeen, as Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience made its debut at P&J Live over the weekend.
Produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, the exhibition blends more than 300 of Van Gogh’s most iconic paintings with state-of-the-art projection mapping and a custom musical score. The result is an emotive, multisensory journey through the Dutch artist’s world—captivating visitors of all ages.
Following a sell-out Scottish premiere in Glasgow last summer, where more than 50,000 people attended, the Aberdeen residency promises a similarly strong reception. Timed tickets are now available until 10 August, with general admission complemented by a series of themed events including yoga, Pilates, and Paint & Sip evenings inside the immersive gallery.
The experience begins with an introductory hall that highlights Van Gogh’s personal letters to his brother Theo, before leading guests into the centrepiece Immersive Room. There, Van Gogh’s brushstrokes swirl and evolve across the walls and floors in a dreamlike display of colour and movement, featuring beloved works such as The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Café Terrace at Night.

The P&J Live venue, which opened in 2019 and is powered by local, renewable energy, offers an ideal setting for this large-scale artistic showcase.
