One of the most keenly anticipated Business Dinners ever held in Aberdeen will take place on Saturday when world famous boxing star Sugar Ray Leonard speaks at a dinner at The Hilton Treetops Hotel.

Sugar Ray Leonard was the first boxer to earn more than $100 million in fight purses and won world titles in five weight divisions He defeated future fellow International Boxing Hall of Fame inductees Wilfred Benítez, Thomas Hearns,
Roberto Durán, and Marvin Hagler. As a result of his fantastic career Sugar Ray was named “Boxer of the Decade” for the 1980s. This will be his first visit to Aberdeen and he will talk at length on his career and also his life before and after boxing. These days Ray is based in Los Angeles and has become a highly accomplished motivational speaker in the States and throughout the world.
Local Aberdeen entertainment and events company Elite Promotions were selected to handle all table sales and sponsorship for the event. Partner John Anderson said “When we were approached to help with the event we were obviously delighted to accept. The event is part of a two week dinner tour which will take him the length and breadth of the UK. Although we have worked with the promoters a number of times before we are delighted to be involved in such a unique event which brings such a massive sporting name to the city. The dinner is basically sold out with only a small number of places at shared tables available and we expect those to be snapped up before Saturday.
The response to the event has prompted the promoters to look at bringing other major sporting names to the city as part of future tours later in 2015 and in 2016. As a result we will have some exciting news to announce shortly.”
